Here are a couple of stats:
Mobile is big (no kidding)—93 percent of online adults own a mobile phone. However, most of these people still have some type of ordinary phone vs. a smartphone.
Mobile smartphones—60 percent of Gen Yers (ages 23 to 31) and 50 percent of Gen Xers (ages 32 to 45) own a smartphone. Older generations fall between 9 percent to 29 percent ownership of smartphones.
Tablet ownership across all generations is about 10 percent. However, 60 percent of Gen Yers own a tablet or plan to buy one soon. For the other groups, Younger Boomers, Older Boomers, Gen Zers and the Golden Generation, the percentage of owners is much smaller.
